Making your Multifamily
Buildings More Efficient: Fuel, Electricity, Water Audits and Maintenance :
In order to discover how efficient your building can become, its relative
efficiency needs to be addressed. Most buildings do not monitor fuel,
electricity, water usage and costs, rather, they are combined into one budget
line-item. By quantifying the problem and attacking both the big costs and the
big users, efficiency comes easily. This session will feature some of the most
typical maintenance mistakes in Multi Family buildings.
F.L. Andrew Padian,
Director of Multifamily Services, Steven Winter Associates.
Green Globes Certification
Program: Green Globes is a third party certification system sponsored by
Green Building Initiative under umbrellas of the American National Standards Insitute(ANSI) and American Society for Testing and Materials(ASTM), it has been
in existence in Canada for more than ten years and is now available on a 30 day
free trial that covers commercial buildings. Mr. Kelly will describe the
construction industry and building codes standards on commercial Green Globes
work and also the touch on the residential standards developed with National
Association of Homebuilders.

Strategies
for Major System Replacements in MF Buildings: Windows, Roofs, HVAC, Elevators,

need to be replaced. Windows, HVAC, elevators, plumbing, lighting, electrical,

old thing, but with updated and right-sized equipment. This session will explore
where to start in the process, and how to proceed.
