Friday, October 5, 2007 Town Hall Meeting 9:00 - 11:45 am As a nonprofit board, staff, or volunteer, we are interested in hearing your perspectives about the Nonprofit Sector. The Town Hall meeting is an opportunity for you to learn about the Top Three Priorities from the first Nonprofit Congress in 2006: Public Awareness and Support of the Nonprofit Sector, Organizational Effectiveness with an Emphasis on Leadership and Accountability and Best Practices, Advocacy and Grassroots Community Activities. Attend this meeting to discuss: Ø What work is being done in Texas on these priorities Ø How we can work collaboratively to achieve our goals? Ø What are opportunities and challenges for collaborative projects? Ø What issues do you want to share with the presidential candidates? Town Hall meetings are being held throughout the state of Texas this coming fall including the DFW metroplex. We are pleased to be able to bring this initiative closer to home. Your human resource systems and practices need to be practical and compliant with the employment laws. Attend this workshop to learn how to establish a human resources system for today’s nonprofit and to learn practical tools and techniques for coaching and counseling employees. Who Should Attend?
