COMS 4400/5400 Volunteer Management Concepts and Applications (3 credit hours)

CATALOG DESCRIPTION: 100% Internet Course

An analysis and review of day-to-day application of management principles to the administrative and operating practices of contemporary volunteer programs in the public, for-profit, and not-for-profit sectors. Course will focus on volunteer program management and recruiting, training, and recognizing volunteer workforces. Guest speakers from the profession, discussion forums, and hands-on community organization analyses round out the lectures.
